Coriander seeds are round and either tan or light brown with vertical ridges. They are the seeds of cilantro, but they have a slightly different taste. In Central Europe, they are often used as a substitute for caraway in breads. They originate in Canada, China, Egypt, Morocco, and Eastern Europe.
